We have a low turnover of staff and generally, when we need more people, it’s because the business is growing. We are a happy team and it’s important for us to make sure we get the right people.
Observatory Wardale Williams is a group of ten award-winning, independent, community-focused opticians. We have branches in London, Essex and Suffolk.
Why work for us?
We have won numerous awards ranging from Independent Practice of the Year (twice) and Fashion Practice of the Year to awards for Customer Care and Community Involvement.
If you are interested in our optical job vacancies, please contact Managing Director Jonathan on email@example.com.
He will have an informal chat with you initially to answer any questions you may have about the role. The next step is to arrange a convenient time for a telephone interview, followed by a face-to-face interview with one or two other members of the team. We will then arrange for you to come in for a trial day.
These vary between practices but are generally 9am – 5pm (9:30am – 6pm in London). We close on Sundays.
This is dependent on the role and experience but we are generous for the right candidate.
We encourage and support professional development. We run in-house training courses as well as funding CET.
We pay GOC, ABDO and/or AOP fees.
We offer 28 days of holiday including statutory holidays. Most practices also close between Christmas and New Year.
